The worst thing that may happen in a nail salon for women is that choosing a color and ending up regretting it or maybe their nails were cut short.
However, a 22-year-old woman in Brazil, had her mani&pedi and ended up getting HIV.
Doctors said that this is the new transmission of virus.
But researchers informed that sharing mani&pedi equipment is a very rare happening of transmitting HIV.
The woman was tested, and it was said that she got HIV earlier.
Blood analysis said that she got this around 10 years ago.
Dr. Brian Foley, of the HIV Sequence Database at the Los Alamos Laboratory, stated that people shouldn't be afraid of people who has HIV because the risk of getting infected is low.
The usual cause of HIV is having sex without condom or either shared injections or other injection equipment.
It can also be through HIV-positive mother, birth or breastfeeding.
So having HIV from a manicure is very unusual to happen - especially if it happened ten years ago- and it really unbelievable to believe if this happens.
